Meet Oliver

Anyone who knows me also knows my strong distaste for cats. They scratch, they’re mean, and I swear they hate humans. Why would you want a pet that hates you? Though they’re not my favourite animal to be around, I can reluctantly take time to appreciate their soft fluffy coat and big curious eyes. I met Oliver last summer, and decided he would be the perfect subject for practicing with my new DSLR – no matter how many toes I might lose in the process.

Gouache Paintings

My first year of university certainly posed a lot of challenges when faced with my initial artistic abilities and lack of experience, but I believe when such challenges are mixed with superfluous hard work, a sufficient amount of growth can be achieved. Here are a two of my colour theory assignments I’m most proud of.

Organic Object

[colour-aid paper stripe design, gouache painting, colour-aid paper original weave]

Grid Assignment
